I still consider myself new to blogging. I think the idea is to try to post fresh content on a regular basis - but it’s easy to get distracted and pulled in various directions.

I like to do research. I like to “go deep” on certain subjects. I also enjoy scanning through my RSS feeds to see the latest rumblings throughout the blogosphere. I get caught up on the tech side of things to - especially my search engine rankings. So, I’m on the prowl for tools that help me make better use of my time.

Here’s one that let’s you check your search rankings in Google, Ask, Yahoo and MSN without having to go to each individual engine. Just type your site’s URL into the Rank Checker tool. (Not an affiliate link.)

You can get valuable ranking information and track your progress as you optimize your website. There is a paid option, but so far - the free account has been good enough for me.
