Using Google’s Webmaster Tools
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
One of the most overlooked ways to make sure your site is Google friendly: Use Google’s Webmaster Tools, a free service offered by Google. When used correctly, you can generate very positive results when it comes to your organic search engine rankings.

An example of some of the tools offered:
• Website content: View the content from your site and see keywords that other sites use to link to you.
• Crawl info: Make sure Google can access your site and see the last time Googlebot paid you a visit. View any URLs that Google has had trouble crawling and find out why.
• Robots.txt file validation: See if Google is having any trouble with your robots.txt file, and test out changes to that file before you upload it to your server.
If you haven’t already, you owe it to your site to check out Google Webmaster Tools.
